In August of 2008, Herb Fredricksen was approached by the German language tutors of Howard Community College to do a classroom talk and to have his group perform in their Oktoberfest celebration the following week. It was a very special event for members Rachel and Robbie Tanner and Fran Kilty, returning HCC alumni. The group did several of their most popular dances for the appreciative students, including two audience-participation numbers where students joined in and learned the traditional dances of Oktoberfest.
Stephanie Keilholtz was on board to photograph the entire proceedings. Sadly, a hard drive crash claimed all but a few of the 200+ photos she took that day. These choice publicity shots are what remain.
